[You Are Dead.


Your last thoughts before the finishing blow may differ as well as if you had felt any pain or not. Let's be real, folks have been extra in the mansion so it's more than likely some crazy way to go. What can you do about that? But if you were thinking that death involves going to a place filled with fire and brimstone or a place filled with fluffy clouds and golden gates...sorry to disappoint.

When you wake up, the first thing you will notice is how cold you feel. Whatever you were wearing before, it will not protect you against the snow and wind. Nothing was taken from you but you cannot help but feel for some reason, it feels like your privacy was violated. But that's small potatoes compared to where you happen to wake up: a hole in the ground. Just a typical average sized human sized hole, no big deal.

Once you get out from your 'comfy' hole, you will see markers by each hole...best not to think about those and focus on finding shelter for now. You might want to be aware of that massive tornado that can be seen from your wake up points. Try NOT to leave by swimming into the water behind said points.

Better hurry.]

Week 4

[Welcome The Scorching, The Noodles, and The Scratch.]

[Franciscus sits bolt upright, panting and clutching his chest. There isn't even any blood anymore, and the biting of the wind is obviously the bigger problem here. Still, for a moment he just sits there, shivering slightly before attempting to summon a bit of flame close to him, as he slowly starts crawling out of the hole.]

So...that part was real, at least...

[ Being in shelter was nice, but sometimes there was times when one had to go outside for some fresh air. Even if it was cold out, she figured a small walk around wouldn't hurt. Informing Felicity about her going out - since being on good terms with Eddie was questionable - was the last thing she'd done before stepping outside of the plane, deciding to walk up the path aside the tornado while giving it as much space as she could.

Rubbing her arms the best she could, Akko shook her head and let off a small sigh. ]

...I wonder if that creepy girl's still out here.

[ She's coming up to where she'd crawled out of that hole before, but wasn't looking close enough to see if anyone was there yet. ]

...Akko? [Franciscus starts trying harder to clamber out of the hole when he thinks he hears her voice. Is it just another hallucination, or...] You-you're here too?

[ Blinking a little at hearing the sound of someone calling her name, it took a second before she looked over and her eyes widened. Akko knew she was dead now, as was Felicity and Eddie but if he was here, it could only mean one thing and that legitimately scared her. ]

F-Franciscus?

[ She hurried her steps over to him, her eyes wide. No No NO... ]

I... Yeah... I'm here but... I never thought i'd see you show up too. Does that really mean you...

[ Oh god she couldn't finish that sentence. ]

[He nods.] I'm...still not sure what happened. It...couldn't really have been Azura there, after all. [He looks around the place slowly. It certainly doesn't look like the mansion at all.]

Is...Felicity here, as well?

[alwaysgonnatry]

[ Her heart ached a little upon that confirmation, distracting herself with the rest of what he'd told her instead. ]

So you... don't even know who it was that... that killed you?

[ That had to be be awful. ]

Y-Yeah, she arrived here when I did. I... can take you to where we're staying but there's something else you should know first.

INVESTIGATION THREAD

[If someone is near that massive storm, they will see glimpses of what appears to be movement within the winds.

[ Since Franciscus showed up, she's been taking periodic small trips out of the plane and this time she feels like checking out the big tornado thing. So that means she's gonna get a bit closer to it now.

Just what's in there anyway? ]

[strangerpeople]

[There are small flashes of people from within the tornado that seem to get clearer the closer she gets in. But there is another matter that catches her eye: a feather is blowing past from the winds.

There seems to be a choice that must be made: follow the images or follow the feather?]

[ Well. There's a second where she has to consider what to do because she could follow that feather or see what the images were about.

The feather would be gone quicker than the images would be - hopefully - so she is going to go after the feather. She'll come back if she has to, but for now she's made her choice. ]

[strangerpeople]

[The feather itself floats away from the stormy area, moving on towards what appears to be an igloo on closer inspection.]

[ Akko does follow it up to this point, but it's seeing that igloo once she's close enough that it stops her short.

Only for a second until she does move closer to try and take a look at the igloo more closely. Maybe seeing about going into it if she can. ]

[Well, Franciscus has fire powers, as well as more clothes from the plane. So after bundling himself up, he finds himself heading out, and noticing the flashes of people as well. After a brief moment of hesitation, he starts following those images. What could it possibly do to them? They're already dead, after all.]

[It helps to be prepared after all and given this weather, it's a very good idea not to freeze.

However, nothing prepares him for the force of the winds, and before he has a chance to turn back, the tornado picks him up and drags him in like a rag doll. His breath leaves him, and he's falling, falling-

Right into the arena, where he sees Thanatos attempt to wield a pink rubber eraser. He's back in the mansion. He's back with the living.

But they seem to flicker in and out as he watches.]

Thanatos? [He reaches out, trying to cry out as loud as possible, as if they might be able to hear him if he shouts loud enough.]

MEETING

[ Once having arrived back in the plane, it's not long that Akko had went to tell everyone - even Eddie - that she'd found someone who could tell them more about what's going on and to meet her down in coach.

Once everyone is gathered, Akko moves to gesture at the blond pigtailed girl who is now here with them. Someone who is now decidedly a lot less crazy and creepy this time around. ]

Hey guys! This's Maka Albarn and she has information that I think we need to hear, regarding the one who's in charge of that creepy mansion we were kept in before we died.

[ She gestures for Maka to go ahead, moving aside to sit down in one of the seats. All while flashing a smile in turn. ]

The floor is yours, Maka!

Thank you, Akko. As she mentioned, my name is Maka Albarn and I am a meister at DWMA, or rather was since we all seem to be dead. Before we go on, I have to apologize for how I was behaving while under the Madness which Akko explained that something along those lines have been happening to you as well?

But also, she mentioned a mansion where there were a lot of spiders and two people were speaking of someone called 'Our Lady'. If you can, could you explain more about your time there? I have a hunch but I want to be sure before speaking up.

There were two people in charge of that place-and at least one of them seems to be a vampiric being of some sort. That one was more serious and solemn, while the other much more unfettered in nature. They gathered us there to try and force us to kill each other-and to have trials for each of the dead, to see who would be condemned.

That is very strange; to have others kill then hold a trial? It doesn't make sense to me. But the serious person you mentioned...the vampiric one? How are they that way?

[silvertongueheir]

[He places a hand over his chest, rubbing the spot he was impaled in the dream.] It was simply a vivid dream...but it seemed to have been sent by him. And in that dream, he appeared to have a proboscis of some sort-like...a mosquito's.

[Uh oh, that certainly is not a good expression. Whatever you said, Fran, it helped.]

Oh...now it makes sense! I didn't want to assume before but what you told me...it has to be a man named Mosquito! He works for the witch Arachne, hence the praising and the mention of 'Our Lady'! And Akko mentioned weapons as well...is Arachnophobia pulling from other universes to find weapons to use?!

[So, Felicity seems a bit more...on edge, right now. Probably not surprising, considering the last time she saw this girl she was trying to grapple with Akko on the floor. Though she seems a bit more...unsettled for more reasons than that. She takes glances at Franciscus, as well as Akko, as the girl speak. Once Maka is finished, she’ll give Akko a longer glance before clearing her throat to get Maka’s attention.]

First, I think I’d like an explanation as to what this...Madness is, as well as a reason why we shouldn’t be afraid that you won’t get affected by it again at some point, and try to hurt us.

[Yeah, she’s in full PTA mode now, but at least she’s not being smug?]

Of course. Madness is to put it bluntly, changes how people normally act. Usually it's in the opposite, even if it's senseless. People have also been know to hallucinate while under it as well.

As for me, Akko did something that got rid of mine.

[Looking at the good witch for verification.]

[ Nodding eagerly in response, Akko stood up so she'd be easily seen again. ]

I did. It was kind of on accident at first, as I was outside and followed this odd feather and it lead me to Maka in this igloo, and there was another one so I picked it up too! She left and wandered over to the ruins of some boat so I followed her.

[ She held up a hand and looked at it briefly before shaking her head. ]

There was another feather there and I picked it up. Only then did I realize they were all glowy when near Maka, and when one of the feathers touched her? She suddenly was a little better and the feather disappeared, so I touched the other two to her and she was then like how she is now!

[ There! She's said her explanation, all bright eyed and happy about it. ]
