at once short of life, and long of sorrow.
[You are dead.
Well, obviously. You remember how you died. It was...not fun, to say the least. But hey, at least you're off that ship, right?
Except...you don't know exactly where you are now. It seems like a house, but if it is, it's...a work in progress. Most of the rooms are empty, and your steps echo up through the marble columns and down faint mosaics on the tiled floor. The few windows you find have a green light gleaming through them; you can't really see anything beyond the eerie light.
It feels like you're in a temple of some kind. The columns and mosaics seem to indicate it is something like that-it's certainly reminiscent of something out of an ancient culture, perhaps even one you're familiar with. For some reason, though, it's clear someone-or something-lives here. One of the rooms to the south is stuffed with pizza boxes. Another, larger room has a makeshift futon in one of the corners. There are imprints of multiple footsteps all through the dusty floors as you look around, many of them leading to a small alcove to the west. And-
and there's a giant van. Just. hanging out there. Completely out of place with the seemingly ancient decor. And inside, there is the sound of light snoring.
Ok then. You're apparently not alone in death, after all.]

[He smiles.]
Is it at all possible for me to have some paper and a writing implement?

[ The sheep proceeds to float about the van in search of such things. ]
What are you gonna write?
no subject
[He's refraining from mentioning he's going to put details about where they're at in it, but -]
I have apologies I have to make, you see. For my actions when I was alive, and, well...I believe I shouldn't wait for them to come down here just to do such a thing.

O-oh! Who's Charon?
[ It climbs back over the seats and bobs towards Moriarty, a folded sheet of paper in its mouth. After spitting it out on the floor of the van ( only a couple of damp teeth marks ), it gives a waggle of its tail. ]
Well good news! You don't have to use any of those pizza boxes after all!
[ But while one side of the paper is blank, the other isn't. ]

[He takes a look at the back curiously - as long as it isn't important and he can put a noticeable A on it, he's fine to use it as letter material.]

[ It's a receipt for auto repair if Moriarty would recognize that. It has the make, model, owner, all that stuff. Apparently the van needed some axle and shock repairs.
The receipt doesn't use a lot of ink on the page, which is a standard letter size. ]
no subject
[He does! Interesting, though.]
I was also unaware there were car mechanics here, given this reciept.

[ The sheep gives a little shiver and seems to fall asleep, still floating. ]
no subject
Y...y'know what, he's just going to see if he can wake up the sheepy gently. if not, he's rummaging through the van for something to write with.]
no subject
Oh! Hi, James! How's it goin'?
no subject
[Hmmmmm.....this sheep? Are they okay]
no subject
[ It looks around. ]
Hmm. Okay, but it's really important I get the quill back when you're done with it!
[ That being said, it seems to produce a quill from its very fleece. It's attached to a long, golden feather. ]
no subject
[It's a bit outdated, but at the very least he knows how to write with a quill pen. He'll take it, giving a grateful nod.]
It'll be only gone a for a brief moment, I assure you. I'm quite fast at writing letters, despite my age!
no subject
You don't look that old to me!
[ But it is a sheep. What would it know? ]
