15corpses | The Greatest Show

[The events of the last couple days must be taking its toll on you, Strangers. You did fight a giant snake lady after all and one with Composer powers which is no easy feat if those from the Mall can testify. And yet, there feels to be both a lull and quiet but also something on edge.

The intense feeling can almost be overwhelming.

But with this over your heads, something comes to visit you all. No matter where you are at, a Kyuubey comes to you.]

Oh, there you are! I didn't know if this interests you but that one satellite with the large screen is sending a transmission. [It points and blinks--wait, blinks? towards Cancelled and scampers off. It's hard to tell but some may think this one as the one little rat who made a certain delivery by being rather polite.

If you decide to follow it to Cancelled, the creature will be seated in one of the many seats and looking at the large screen blasting something out...wait a minute, don't those people look familiar?

Take a seat, Strangers. Watch the show...it's supposed to be a real blast.]

[ YAY! She is taking this as a sign to go and run over to him as well...

and will definitely hug him because she is happy and so, SO relieved. ]

[He twirl hugs Akko, because what kind of person would he be if he didn't]

You were worried about little old Seven? You shouldn't have! It was only the vaccuum of space!

[He was paying attention to something else but his girlfriend(?) senses tingle. He jerks his head over to watch Seven hug Akko.]

[And just stares in a way that he hopes is somewhat meaningful and slightly intimidating and 'you better not hurt her'.]

[... He's not very successful.]

[ AAAAA This was so great!! She can't help but laugh happily as he does that, and is grinning brightly. ]

Of course I was! You were there with us and then that mean snake lady ended up sending both you and that Yotsu-lady away and I thought I wouldn't see you again!

[ Though she does notice Jun over there and waves at him. ]

Hey Jun!! In a minute, can we talk? I got somethin' to say to you, if that's okay?

[Oh he's being addressed uh -]

Y-yeah. Sure?

[ After parting ways with Seven, she hurried over to him and stood before him with a smile. Though this time, her cheeks were tinged a bit pink now. ]

So.. um... it's nothing bad I have to say but uh... well.. I guess I kinda realized something during this mess here and um... well...

[ Deep breaths. That blond kid Arthur did it... so she could all the same. ]

I know it might sound stupid or... something but... uh... I... I... Iloveyou!

[ Did she do it right? ]

[Oh. He's... never done anything like this before. He's never felt anything like this before.]

[He swallows hard and takes a step forward, taking her hands into his.]

I... I think I love you too.

[He's never said that. Not even to his 'father'. The words are unfamiliar, but...]

[... But they feel right. He leans in and presses a quick, gentle kiss to her forehead.]

[ No magic spell could ever compare to how happy this made her feel, heart fluttering in her chest as she heard him say those words back to him. Part of her'd been nervous that maybe he wouldn't feel the same, but then Jun's hands were on hers and now he was kissing her on the forehead in such a gentle, sweet way. ]

G-Great! [ Her voice squeaks and she knows by now that she's blushing pretty darkly, but also smiling happily. ] I was so nervous before... it took me a while to figure it out, but... i'm glad I said it now.

[ If they were properly alive, her heart would probably be racing. Even managing to shift her hands enough as to give his a light squeeze. Even moving in to give him a gentle kiss on the forehead in return. ]

S-So... does that kind of... make us girlfriend and uh... boyfriend now...?

[His blush darkens, and he ducks his head slightly so he can press his head against hers.]

I... I think so. I've never done anything like this before... but I'm... um. I'm glad I'm doing it with you.

If anything shows up we can fight together. We'll... we'll protect each other.

[ She closed her eyes briefly, just allowing herself to bask in the moment they had going between them right now. ]

Me too. We can just... learn the ropes as we go, you know? We'll get the hang of it.

[ After all, look at the crazy stuff they'd experienced these past few months! It was hard to gauge time here but she just assumed it had to have been months, since their numbers went from being so small to being a nicely sized group over a period of what had to be longer than days or weeks. Odd to think it'd just started with her and Felicity at first. ]

Yeah! Definitely! I... I think we make a pretty good team and I always trust you to have my back.

Yeah. I think... I think I can trust more, if it's you.

[He'd been trying, and then the whole Eric think had a huge blow to him. But even though that's still painful... the connection between hem is still there.they're partners and Partners. He can tell how sincere she is, how much she wants to care. She can probably feel how scared he is of everything he's feeling, but he's trying.]

You're... you're an amazing person.

[Carefully, as if he's trying to approach a scared animal, he moves in closer before he pulls her to him for a hug.]

I'm really happy to hear you say that, Jun.

[ Akko knows how hard it is for him to just trust people as it was, so those words had even more meaning in her eyes. Never once had she ever given up on him or stopped caring, even in a dark void like this where a lot of the others had seemed so down or depressed after showing up here.

Through that lingering connection, it's even more evident; his fear but also that he keeps trying and that has a lot of meaning to her even now. ]

Huh? I am?

[ Thankfully she wasn't a conceited person or anything so she wasn't sure at first how to take the compliment, instead just hugging him back when the time came. ]

Of course you are.

[He leans against her, closing his eyes and letting himself relax slightly. He doesn't need to say anything else.]

[This feels right. This feels like home.]

Thank you.

[ It's the same for her right then. No words really needed beyond that, just really relaxing and feeling comfortable; at ease and completely happy. She was fine staying like this until they really had to leave. ]

Wow, what's going on with you two? He glared a dagger at me! The pressure!

A-Anyway, I thought I should gather allies from everyone's rounds before I came back. The rest of them should be meeting with the living around now.
