[The events of the last couple days must be taking its toll on you, Strangers. You did fight a giant snake lady after all and one with Composer powers which is no easy feat if those from the Mall can testify. And yet, there feels to be both a lull and quiet but also something on edge.

The intense feeling can almost be overwhelming.

But with this over your heads, something comes to visit you all. No matter where you are at, a Kyuubey comes to you.]

Oh, there you are! I didn't know if this interests you but that one satellite with the large screen is sending a transmission. [It points and blinks--wait, blinks? towards Cancelled and scampers off. It's hard to tell but some may think this one as the one little rat who made a certain delivery by being rather polite.

If you decide to follow it to Cancelled, the creature will be seated in one of the many seats and looking at the large screen blasting something out...wait a minute, don't those people look familiar?

Take a seat, Strangers. Watch the show...it's supposed to be a real blast.]

Eh... I mean, I guess it might help, but I got a feeling they'll need to do more than just go all lovey dovey on everyone.

[Then again, he's not the love guru or anything. Hell, it doesn't feel like he's had someone to care that much about until recently.]

They need to know what happiness really is. Every time the hosts spoke of happiness it was very simple pleasures. They need to remember things like our joy at defeating Eddie and freeing the hostages.

That's it exactly - the fog makes everything flat, anything exceptional like joy or triumph is just gone!

[And then it hits him, like a bolt from the blue - ]

Hope. The opposite of despair is hope, right? And when you're flattened into nothing but despair, what ain't you got?

And we both know very well that love can lead to those moments. The joy of seeing one's loved ones again after a parting doesn't come without feeling love for them to begin with.

That's true. How'd you get the message over to them? We need to pass that along somehow, right?

[He just wants to do something, anything - ]

I gave Kyuu ear scratches and asked very politely if it would deliver a message. I wrote something for it to deliver too.

[She smiles, she knows very well many creatures react well to being treated with respect and kindness and that's how you get favors.]

[He smiles back - of course, fairy tale logic, of course that'd work here.]

So... you think it'd work again?

I can't say. I only know that if we don't ask nothing would happen and I doubt the worst result would be anything more than it declines as long as you are nice to it.

Scritches by the ears, things like that. They appear to like the same sort of things cats do.

I wrote a message, but I think it would also be worth it to tell them that we're with them and our hope that they will make a wonderful ending is quite strong.

I haven't got any paper on me, so I hope they've got memories like elephants, not cats... hope's definitely the most important part, though, right?

Luuun. [Like a sigh.] It would be nice if things could be simple for once-lun.

Yeah, that's tough. I think I'd be more pissed if the way to fix everything was that simple.
