Your last thoughts before the finishing blow may differ as well as if you had felt any pain or not. Let's be real, folks have been extra in the mansion so it's more than likely some crazy way to go. What can you do about that? But if you were thinking that death involves going to a place filled with fire and brimstone or a place filled with fluffy clouds and golden gates...sorry to disappoint.

When you wake up, the first thing you will notice is how cold you feel. Whatever you were wearing before, it will not protect you against the snow and wind. Nothing was taken from you but you cannot help but feel for some reason, it feels like your privacy was violated. But that's small potatoes compared to where you happen to wake up: a hole in the ground. Just a typical average sized human sized hole, no big deal.

Once you get out from your 'comfy' hole, you will see markers by each hole...best not to think about those and focus on finding shelter for now. You might want to be aware of that massive tornado that can be seen from your wake up points. Try NOT to leave by swimming into the water behind said points.

Better hurry.]

Somehow I doubt that. I also doubt any of us can any longer say we're truly good people.

I destroyed a world. To save my own, but I still did.

[Now that actually does shake Thanatos a bit. For one, he can't really fault the boy when he killed to save his world too. However, it actually is starting to get him out of his funk to know that someone at least gets why he did what he did. If anything he's seeing that the two of them have something in common that he'd never have expected.]

Were you more successful at saving your world than I was?

... I hope so. I know I hit the enemy pilot because I could feel myself dying. There were a lot of people who went before me, so I know what it looks like.

I hope so too. It's terrible to know that people died and you failed at saving anyone.

That's not right. The result was a three way tie. Emma and Ambrosine were also to be executed. I tried to stop that. I'd planned to prevent any further innocents from dying for my world's sake, but I failed.

That didn't save Zelda and you know it. Do you even know who the saw was? It's the younger Steward and he loathes me after I stole from that room.

I stole information from their room too, but I don't think they know it. Him being the saw is interesting, though. Maybe that can be useful if they summon one of us again. Maybe we can turn into our weapon forms while summoned.

[No, even Thanatos can admit to that one. Eric is a coward who obviously didn't want to die. Can't blame him, no one does. It's just easier for an old man like Thanatos to accept it and decide he'd rather die trying to save that innocent than try and pretend he didn't do anything wrong had he been able to go home again.]

They know about it. It was hard to miss. And I'm not changing into one of those things, not unless it's the only way.

Can't blame you there. Got some people like that at home too, but I would have wanted them to find a way back to their homes. None of them deserved what happened just for wanting to live.
